Mid- Atlantic COSEE Coastal Ocean Observatories Workshop

The Mid-Atlantic Center for Ocean Science Education Excellence (COSEE) offers a unique opportunity for educators to participate in the development of innovative resources that incorporate the excitement of current oceanographic research and technology into the classroom.

Middle and high school educators from New York, New Jersey, Maryland and Virginia are encouraged to apply for this exciting field experience focused on the technology and data associated with coastal observing systems located in the Mid-Atlantic region. Participants work directly and collaboratively with scientists and education professionals to learn about the research associated with coastal systems and to help bring this science to the classroom through applications based on real-time and near real-time ocean science data.
